Annual client calendar of events consists of the following:
- January to December–Regular, periodic investment account review throughout the year. All retained clients have full access to their investment accounts. If you have an issue with your investment account access, please call us and we will assist you in resolving the problem. If your situation changes during the year (e.g. decide to retire, major purchase, death in the family) please contact us as soon as possible.
- December 31–All account end-of year statements are reviewed and entered into client investments data file. Tax issues that need to be addressed are resolved and clients are notified of any actions they need to take. If we do not have account access to retrieve these statements, please mail or fax a copy of all your accounts to us as soon as their are available.
- January to March of the new year–Market data is reviewed and client portfolio reviews are completed. Retirement benefits statements (e.g. social security benefits statements) are analyzed and incorporated in client planning module updates for the year. Clients need to mail or fax the following information to us before we can complete your annual report:
-Social security benefits estimate statements
-Pension benefits estimate statement.
-Any changes to your situation (e.g. career change, new family addition, new home purchase.
- March to May–Tax issues (e.g. investment cost basis, IRA contribution limits, 401(k) funding limits) are reviewed and any issues resolved prior to tax filing. Annual Client review meetings are held.
- June through December–Implementation changes are completed throughout the year depending on client needs.
